Fix Internet Connection Drops
Quick solutions for internet drops, gateway interface errors, and physical factory reset guidance.
Intermittent connection drops, "Connected, No Internet" warnings, and sudden Wi-Fi disconnections can disrupt work and gaming. Follow this systematic troubleshooting procedure to isolate whether the issue lies in your cables, DNS resolution, router leases, or external broadband lines.
The Correct 3-Step Network Power Cycle Sequence
Rebooting in the wrong order causes the router to request an IP before the modem is ready. Follow this precise sequence:
2 Flushing DNS Cache & Changing Public DNS
If some apps work (like Spotify) but websites won't load in your browser, your ISP DNS server may be down or your computer cache is corrupted. Run this command:
ipconfig /flushdns
Successfully flushed the DNS Resolver Cache.

3 Performing a Physical 10-Second Factory Reset
If you forgot your administrator password or a firmware misconfiguration locked you out, a hardware factory reset will revert the router back to out-of-the-box settings:
- 1. Ensure the router is plugged in and powered ON.
- 2. Locate the small recessed hole labeled RESET on the back panel.
- 3. Insert a paperclip or SIM-ejector pin. Press and hold down the internal micro-button for 10 to 15 continuous seconds.
- 4. Release the button when all front LED lights turn off and then flash rapidly.
- 5. Allow 2 minutes for the system reboot. Connect using the factory Wi-Fi password printed on the sticker.
